Being brave in reinventing yourself

Updated: Jun 8, 2022

There’s no doubt about it the pandemic has changed things!

For many people it has been a time of reflection, it has taken to some serious soul searching to come to the realisation that no longer do they feel satisfied, it maybe their job/relationship/friendships/living arrangements/routines are no longer lighting them up like they used to.

Let’s take work for instance there are many that are no longer satisfied with doing a hum drum job, the 9-5 repetitive grind, sure it may pay the bills but it’s burning you out, it no longer gives you the satisfaction it once did or the time freedom that you crave, there has to be more right? !

The great news is - there is ! However, it takes bravery and courage to fully step into the ownership of you but its possible, REMEMBER you are the creator of your own story!

The trouble is we have been so conditioned through family, schooling, friends, society that we’ve forgotten who we truly are, we may have been told we can’t do this, your not good enough, do something that pays well, work your way through a company, get the pension, have the kids, get married etc etc, that we actually convince ourselves this must be the right way, I’m better off sticking to the tried and tested, the safe & secure route BUT you are that person that knows deep down there is so much more and that you are so much more, you want to choose the life you want and on your terms. You are born with gifts that you are meant to share and be of service to others and in sharing these gifts you will be greatly rewarded. We weren’t told that at school were we!

Let me tell you a little story, let’s rewind to 2017, I’d just completed a degree in herbal medicine which took me 6 years to complete, yes it was tough and only to find that on my final exam my tutor failed me on the clinical exam, I had gone through 2 miscarriages in that time but the worse was yet to come I carried my baby full term only for him to die soon after he was born. My life was torn apart.

After the initial grief, I decided that I wanted more meaning in my life, I had really been a party girl (still love a party mind! ) travelled a lot (Which I still have a great love for) I’ve had numerous jobs in all sorts of industries, I also had my 8 year old son and I came to the realisation that I didn’t want to just drift anymore, I wanted to get back on track with who I really was, I stumbled across (or rather the universe presented to me ) I think it was Sarah Prouts manifestation podcast. This was a light bulb moment for me! I realised that I can create whatever I want in my life, so I went down a very deep rabbit hole on getting to know myself better, I felt like I didn’t know myself at all, who really am I, I needed to take a deep dive into who I was - I went from Myers Briggs to astrology to human design to Dharma coaching and just about everything in between and I still do, I love getting to the deepest darkest depths of myself & even more so of others.

Once I undertook this journey I know I needed to get out of my restrictive monotonous job which was a postie at the time, although the walking & listening to inspiring podcasts whilst I worked helped me to discover the kinds of things I wanted to do especially when it came to my working life - Hello Tim Ferris and the 4hr work week !

So I left my job and started working online as an English tutor, it was the 1st time in my life that I was self employed and oh how much I loved it - no more restrictive holiday times, work when I want too, it’s my choice! Such a liberating experience after all these years of working for someone else.

Of course this was just a stepping stone - not everyone is designed to take the leap of faith, (although this maybe part of your dharma to do so ).

Whilst undergoing my transformative process and finding my dharma (thankyou Dharma coaching institute) I realised I wanted to help people do the same so I set up my business WildlingWays as a healing space for those interested in herbal medicine and which has now evolved into spiritual coaching practice to help others to become empowered enough to follow their own unique path which may not fit in with the norms.

Now this has been quite the journey, it hasn’t always been easy, my family & my partner could not understand why I wanted to leave my regular job, they don’t understand all the woo woo either but that doesn’t matter I stand strong in my own belief that I will follow the path that is for me even if that looks different, weird etc to everyone else 😛.

It takes a brave soul to reinvent themselves are you one of them? The great thing is you don’t have to do this alone and that is where I step in to help - I’ve made it my mission, my dharma to teach & guide others who are ready to step out of the shadows and reveal their souls purpose, if you’re ready to disrupt your life for the better then please join me.

I offer a safe & supportive space for you to share with me what truly lights you up, what brings meaning to your life, we all have these gifts, they may have laid dormant for years BUT there is no time like the present to awaken from your slumber, you owe it to yourself and the world.

'You are part of the new paradigm of people who want a new way of life one that is in alignment with your values and needs, you are a shining beacon of light for others to follow so we can finally all live a much more meaningful and fulfilling life. One where we are all thriving'.

If you feel called to do so take a look at the services I offer, you can also take a look at my other blogs which are all about the steps I took for my own personal development or if you prefer I talk about them on my youTube channel. They will be of great use to anyone that feels they're at a crossroads in their life and that is ready to take action but not sure of the how.
